In 1996, the CDAPP Sweet Success Resource Center moved to San Diego to centralize the production and distribution of CDAPP education materials. Its mission was to produce and distribute high quality, easy to read education material to aid in the improvement of perinatal outcomes for women with diabetes during pregnancy.
In July, 2012, the CDAPP Sweet Success Resource Center became the "new" CDAPP Sweet Success Resource and Training Center and again moved locations, this time to Orange County.
The goals of CDAPP Sweet Success Resource and Training Center are:
• Maintain and update CDAPP Sweet Success educational materials and resources including CDAPP Sweet Success Guidelines for Care
• Provide web-based educational training for CDAPP Sweet Success Affiliates
• Make electronic educational materials available for consumers, CDAPP Sweet Success Affiliates, and health care providers
• Collect “CDAPP Sweet Success Affiliate On-line Annual Survey” including number of clients served by Affiliates
The CDAPP Sweet Success Resource and Training Center has education resources for both health care providers and pregnant women with diabetes. Professional materials include CDAPP Sweet Success Guidelines for Care which are undergoing a new revision and will be posted on our webiste in mid-2015. were updated and published in 2012. Patient materials showcase low/non literate menu plans in various languages, a record book, psychosocial brochures and more. All materials are designed to be culturally and linguistically appropriate.
